They say that no man is an island, Well guess what, a palace is not built without the grace and the wisdom of a queen! And queens do help each other hand in hand when they build something spectacular.

Just like my goddesses here, we are building something special and spectacular. We are building our own empires, our own palaces. And we do that by helping each other out and fixing the problems we encounter along the way.

Let us build something together and conquer the world as the queens we are born to be.

"You don't make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas."

— Shirley Chisholm.

Womens History Month comes to an end, we want to share a quote from one of our favorite women in history, Shirley Chisholm. Shirley was the first black woman elected to Congress, representing New York’s 12th District. She served for seven terms!! Chisholm was also the first African American to make a bid to become President of the United States in 1972, as a Democratic representative.

She was an advocate for women and minorities, and she, and her all-female staff, made incredible improvements to the lives of many inner-city residents.

Shirley was a trailblazer. She made her own opportunities and didn't let anything stand in her way. Today we celebrate her.

Women's History Month continues! Today we are celebrating Alice Walker. Alice is an American writer who is most notably known for writing "The Color Purple." What we didn't know is that her writing journey began because she was accidentally blinded in one eye as a child, so instead of doing chores, her mom gave her a typewriter and she began to write. (Talk about RESILIENCE ).

Alice went on to get a scholarship to college and then she got heavily involved in the Civil Rights Movement. She wrote many short stories, poems, and novels. Her novel, "The Color Purple" won a Pulitzer Prize, was later adapted into a movie, and eventually turned into a musical produced by the queen herself, Oprah.

We love sharing these stories because every woman from history has her own incredible journey of strength, resilience, and overcoming obstacles. Thank you, Alice, for inspiring us today.
